The Independent: Go Dutch, save money
12 Jul 2009
At the end of last week The Independent published a very positive article about the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.
The article wonders why more British students don’t make their way to Maastricht, as the University of Maastricht offers excellent education in English. And moreover, the fees are far lower than at universities in Britain
On top of that Maastricht is relatively close, it welcomes British students, life in the Netherlands is generally cheaper, the Dutch government offers loans and there are ‘generous grants’ available. Also, the University of Maastricht offers a successful and interesting approach to teaching with an emphasis on problem-based learning.
In addition, the University of Maastricht offers a truly international setting with 50 different nationalities.
